This newsletter originated as a method of sharing and exploring ideas through writing. Beginner’s Mind explores and examines the margins of culture and creativity through a contemplative lens.

Through this newsletter, I am providing you, the reader, with moments of inquiry that can assist in fostering profound relationships with the world around you. Much of what I write is informed by Zen Buddhism, contemplative psychology, art history, and the stillness that comes from practicing meditation.

The title of this newsletter is adapted from the writings of Zen Master Shunryū Suzuki — precisely, his book, Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind.

When I am not writing, I am a product designer, graphic design educator, and photographer.
